Changing Process Name

A running Android app can be identified on the device by various development tools and apps. In order to complicate potential attacks or reverse enginnering efforts the name can be changed.

Malwarelytics for Android is capable of changing app’s process name. It can either use custom name desired by the app or select a random value from a list of stealthy process names.
