Runtime Tampering Detection

Runtime tampering changes the behavior of the application while it runs, typically with dynamic instrumentation tools and hooking frameworks. It is used to bypass security checks, change application logic, or read sensitive data. In-App Protection Shielder for Android is able to detect runtime tampering and can be configured to terminate the application in that case.

Configuration

rasp:
  runtime_tampering:
    enabled: true
    response:
      action: terminate

Runtime tampering detection is disabled by default. The available responses are described in RASP Feature Overview.
