Usage

In-App Protection Shielder for Android is a command-line tool. It requires:

  • an Android application to be shielded (.apk or .aab),
  • a configuration YAML file.

Optionally:

  • a signing configuration YAML file.

The output of the Shielder is a shielded application in the same format as the input. If the output file already exists, it is overwritten. The input application is not modified. The Shielder exits with a non-zero exit code when processing fails.

The Shielder modifies the application, so the original signature is no longer valid. The shielded application has to be signed, either by the Shielder or afterwards. See Signing.

Running the Shielder

java -jar IapShielderAndroid-<version>.jar --config <config.yml> [OPTIONS] <input-application>

Example

java -jar IapShielderAndroid-<version>.jar \
  --config config.yml \
  --signing-config signing.yml \
  --output App-shielded.aab \
  App.aab

where:

  • App.aab - input application,
  • config.yml - configuration file, see Configuration,
  • signing.yml - signing configuration file, see Signing,
  • App-shielded.aab - shielded output application.
